Notes, kept simple.

A simple, focused note-taking app. No clutter, no complexity. Just your notes.

Add to Chrome

This is the real editor. Type in it. Nothing is saved and nothing is sent.

Secto is a note-taking app I designed and built. It is live, it has real users, and I use it every day.

Why it exists

Every notes app I tried wanted to be learned first. Databases, plugins, nested properties, five different ways to write a heading. I wanted what a notebook does. Open it, write, close it.

What is deliberately missing

No tags. No tabs. No plugins. No folders inside folders. One note open at a time, and sub-notes go one level deep. That is the whole model. Most of the work was deciding what to leave out, and every removal made it quicker to use.

Where it runs

In the browser, on your phone, and as a Chrome side panel that can drop a YouTube timestamp straight into a note while you are watching. Your notes export as Markdown whenever you want them somewhere else.

How it was built

I designed every screen and made every product decision. The code is written by AI and directed by me. That is how I build now. I plan, design, research and judge, and the machine types. Secto is the proof that it works, because it is a real product with real people depending on it, not a demo.
